A while back I came across a video by BLU, featuring all sorts of creatures climbing over the interior walls of a building. It was amazing. MUTO, Blu’s latest project, in which creatures terrorize large scale walls leaves me without words. Blu describes the project as “an ambiguous animation painted on public walls.” The amount of time & energy and the shear magnitude of this project is mind-boggling! I’m SPEECHLESS!
Today I saw a neon said that read ’sushi’ and it inspired me! Now I’ve gotta figure out what kind of cool side project I’m going to name ‘Neon Sushi’…don’t go stealing it!
Our art homey, Kelly D Williams has just released a new video in conjuction with Shawn Murdock. The video features a bunch of Kelly’s latest works. Kelly is a longtime artist and new addition to the Analog design department. He is also making a name for himself in Orange County, CA, as his work is popping up everywhere.
The cypher13 team was seriously stoked to be interviewed and asked to submit work to NEWWEBPICK ISSUE 15 - FANTASY. The issue just dropped today - it’s FRESH and chock full of great work, feature articles, and interviews with all sorts of internationally acclaimed artists and designers. NEWWEBPICK is subscription based and comes out of Hong Kong. As far as online design mags go, it’s kinda the shit. For $2.50 U.S. you can download any of the past 15 issues in full screen Flash format right to your desktop. ISSUE 15 is 600+ pages of serious creative inspiration.
The last few weeks, we’ve been hard at work getting ready for the future, all the way to the year 2010. Here’s a sneak peek at the board graphics [ 2 one 5 ] did for 9010 Snowboards. They feature a heavy emphasis on exposing the wood core, incorporating multi-layered varnishes, and even some exotic materials!
This weekend Legends of Style kicks off its 2008 event series in Boston. Some of today’s best street inspired contemporary artists will be showing work on Saturday April 26th at the Boston Center for the Arts. If you are in the area don’t miss it!
